The Sperm
‘Unleashed!’ as the gate was opened. Back then, I was filled with energy and passion to win the prize. After many training and encouragement by my coach, I showed admirable bravery and had a strong belief that I will defeat other competitors. Although this confidence is important, I must even more focused in order to win this race.
As I was swimming, I did not aware how far my journey in order to be the champion of this race. When we were young, we were brainwashed and was forced to focus on the upcoming race. As I swam without giving up, I glanced around me. There were competitors who gave up and died.
I was so terrified. Near by there were audiences watching the show. Looking at other competitors who had died was an amusement to them.
Some competitors had a strong pride in their hearts. They believed that they could win, and new ideas came in the brain by taking a shortcut. However, they either knocked into the wall or lost. Back then, I was most weak in my swimming class. My teacher asked me what my goal was and I answered ‘be the first in the race!’ My classmates started laughing saying I was full of optimism. I ignored their barbs.
When I saw the huge ball which I suppose to touch in order to win, I swam as hard as I could. I touched it. The next thing I realised, I saw a beautiful scene and I was name, ‘Melvin’
